| Texas Hold'em Poker - 2 Card Hand Type Frequencies | ||||||||
Both before and after the flop in any limit Holdem game, it is helpful to be able to make a reasonably accurate estimate of the types and numbers of playable hands that you are likely to be competing against. Much of your decision making involves the business of "putting" opposing players "on their hands" (or in other words, figuring out what cards they are playing). Experienced Holdem players are often very good at this. An understanding of the types of hands that are most likely to be against you helps prevent both underestimating and overestimating your competition. Here are some stats that are based on the total possible combinations of various two card Holdem hands that are normally playable.. |

The five diferent types of two card Hold'em hands highlighted here are those that are most commonly played. They are not shown in any particular order and within the groups are powerful hands that are almost always played, down to marginal value hands that can be played under certain betting conditions. The rest of the hands, shown as All Others, are all the very weak hands that most players hardly ever play. PAIRS - All pairs. Poker
Stars.com .
. . U.S. Players Welcome! |

PokerStars is now the largest online poker room in the world! You can count on plenty of action going in all the popular games at any time, day or night. This site has what I consider to be the most player friendly game graphics available on the net. Instead of avatars (those goofy people images at every seat), each player has a personalized icon with his or her picture, or pet's face, or whatever image is chosen. This helps the players remember each other from game to game. Stars also provides some unmatched stats on your play that you can use to improve your game. I like this site. Lets go to Poker Stars! |

| Notes
of interest About PokerStars: The WSOP champions, Chris Moneymaker/2003 and Greg Raymer/2004, each won millions in prize money through Poker Stars qualifying tournaments. Poker Stars is also the host of the "World Series Of Online Poker" with $1,000,000 in prizes. |

| PartyPoker
is the second largest online poker room in the world. The biggest advantage
that they have over most is their huge player base. This provides an constant
stream of Holdem games and for those of us that also try to be good all-around
poker players, there's always a lot of the other games to play. I like Seven
Card High/Low and can find plenty of this to play at Party when the other sites
have all slowed down. Party also has
"sit and go" tournaments going
all the time that
I think you will like. Many are inexpensive to enter and a lot of fun. Party is now offering a 100% to $500 Super sign up bonus. Lets go to Party Poker! |
